Over the years, I have taken many sunrises and sunsets. Most recently I have attempted photographs of the color and shape variations in the rising and setting sun in Italy, Ireland, and Scotland. However (surprise,surprise), the sun also rises and sets in my neighborhood. One evening, while driving home, I noticed the sunset below very near my home in New Fairfield. I live in an older neighborhood where electrical wires are a given when trying to shoot the sky or the leaves on a tree in the Fall. Those wires are included as an integral part of the first photo below, and the lines work for me as part of the photo. By zooming the camera, I tried to get shots devoid of wires with the primary goal to capture the vivid colors and shapes. I did crop and enhance these photos in Lightroom, so the effect may be bit exaggerated. However, the colors and the shapes of the clouds cast dramatic images.
